Due to spending on the Vietnam War, President Richard Nixon wanted to cut a grant for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in half - from $20 milion to $10 million. In this video clip Mr. Rogers takes on Senator Pastore and wins him over and the $20 million for public broadcasting.
